1. Reactions to the latest pages you have read. What have you found interesting so far? What do you agree/disagree with?

2. What leadership traits has the subject of your book shown? Or what leadership traits has your author talked about being important? Use specific examples from the book including page number.

3. Talk about a specific quote or passage that has s6
4. Give me an example of a time that you had to make an ethical decision. What was the situation? Who (no names necessary) was involved? What was the ethical dilemma? Ultimately what did you decide to do and why?

1. The more I read the more interesting it gets. I like how he give different ways to keep ourselves motivated. There's not very much that I disagree with in this book because he has lots of interesting points.

2. My author talks about many many different traits to leadership. That is why I like the way he writes. He doesn't just take one trait and talk about it but all of the traits you need and how they flow together. For instance he talks about motivation. He gives 8 different ways to stay motivated weather or not you have a title. 1. Make time to reflect 2. Remember to dream 3.Mirror those who are successful around you. 4. Retreat to advance 5.Mentor someone else 6. Enjoy the journey 7. Live like a victor, not a victim 8. Search for the pony.

3. One of my favorite passages in the book is when Sanborn talks about obligation or and opportunity. He talks about when most leaders answer there phone they think of it as an obligation. Sanborn said that he posted a note above his phone that says Opportunity not obligation.

4. One time that I had to make an ethical decision was about two weeks ago. I had not studied for a test and it was one of the biggest tests of the year for biology. I had to make the decision weather to cheat or to just be straight forward and take the test. Of course I didn't cheat and I failed the test. In the long run it was worth it because some people got caught cheating on the test.

  1. I've been really surprised with myself that when reading the responses to most of these blogs I am interested in looking further into the book each of my classmates are reading. I can safely say I am one who generally answers the phone seeing it as more of an obligation than as an opportunity. I have never thought of it that way until now. I love how something as common as answering a phone can be interpreted differently by different people. As far as cheating goes I am proud of you Andrew :)

  2. Ya Leonard way to go! You didnt let yourself cheat. Even though you probably could have gotten away with it and it would have brought your grade up, you didnt stoop to that level. Very simple solution kid, study the damn test next time!!
