Leadership is something that this country is really pushing for. We have been learning about it for the last couple of months and it seems like everyone wants the younger generation to be leaders. But a question that I have been wondering is, is this country pushing for the older generations to become leaders? While researching for a scholarly article on leadership I came across the one linked above. It talks about how in regular college courses teachers are pushing for more and more education. This specific article talks about a computer programming class that is pushing for more leadership. I personally think this is a great idea, because when you are going to college you are learning how to do a profession. But who is going to get hired? A person with no leadership skills? Or a person with a little leadership skills. I guess what I am trying to get at is a person that shows even a little bit of leadership is going to get hired over someone that shows no leadership. Honestly when I go to college I want to continue to learn about leadership to make myself a better person. I think that they should teach courses specifically on leadership instead of taking time out of other classes but I think it should be strongly taught to all kids. If this continues to happen this nation will be a better place, our working people will be better people and maybe people won’t think differently about our country.

  1. Good job Andrew. I am not sure many of your college classes will cover the topic
